I first reading Berserk when I was in middleschool and ended up dropping it...but I eventually picked it back up in highschool and absolutely loved it. I haven't watched the anime adaption and I currently don't have time to watch it but if I were to watch it, it would be for her <3 (and guts).

It sucks that everyone outside of Berserk only recognize her as the character that was raped by Griffith ot that the only thing people can say about her when they see her is about Griffith.
I love her character so much and sometimes I see myself in her. I don't know if this is controversial but I don't think Miura handled the art of the rape scene well...he drew questionable angles, it was almost fetishy and made me so upset because I immediately knew that people were going to treat this scene as some sort of disgusting cuck fantasy against Guts rather than the violation of a woman, both mentally and physcially by a man she trusted.
Casca's struggle with femininity felt so personal to me. She had to deal with disgusting men and struggled to embrace herself. She's strong but she's capable of relying on others when she needs to. She's so caring to those she loves. I admire her because she's capable of being soft and emotional while being a capable soldier.
I also love her character design...I will always have a soft spot for characters that have darker skin but are portrayed well in anime/manga. I'm not sure what her background is specifically but I personally headcannon her as brown <3.

Akagame No Shirayukihime

My very first introduction to shoujo anime! I binged-watched this anime around 2015-2016 and proceeded to develop the worst media brain-rot I've ever dealt with. Prior to watching anime I loved reading shoujo manga and this show checked off everything that I liked in romance -> non-toxic male lead, ambitious female lead, lovable yet flawed characters, etc. I've read the manga, read the entire fanwiki, and still 8 years later I'll check up on the (still!!) ongoing manga from time to time. My bias towards it is probably due to nostalgia but there hasn't been many shoujo that gives me a buzz like this one did.

Jujutsu Kaisen

One of my favourite shounen anime and one of the few I didn't get bored of. Watched this at around 2020-2021 and read the manga as well. Fight animations were amazing and story was actually interesting to me!! Characters are SOOO lovable and entertaining, one of the reasons I like the show alot. I do wish that there was more backstory for certain characters but it is an action anime at the end of the day.

HUNTER X HUNTER

Watched it around 2018 and it quickly became my favourite. My most rewatched anime EASILY. Storyline was interesting from start to finish even though it became a little dark during the Chimera Ant arc. Characters are very fun and interesting, Gon is the absolute cutest I could squish him to death. I picked up the manga where the anime left off and have been following it every since. I hope Togashi can finish this one day...:'(

Trigun

Instantaneously reached my favourite list one episode in. I have watched both the older version and the recent one + read the manga. I enjoy Vash's personality in the more recent anime but both are excellent. Once again, sucker for anime with kind and loving main characters. I was obsessed with Trigun for the longest time, after watching both animes and reading the manga I had to satiate my cravings with VashWood fanfiction. I still enjoy episodes here and there and like seeing content related to it on the internet. Amazing characters!!!!!!!
