Tomodachi Life is a 3DS game where you can create little islanders to take care of while they make friends, fall in love and live peaceful lives day-to-day! I was first introduced to this game when my cousins came over for the holidays and one of them brought her 3DS with her and asked me if I wanted to be a part of her island. I begged my parents to get me a DS so I could play it but I never got one until I made my own money. Unfortunately, the charger of my 3DS doesn't work so I've been using an emulator to play on my macbook!

The first time I made my island I wasn't all that serious about the mii's that I wanted to make and made whatever characters came to mind but I found myself not really enjoying it as in I wasn't that invested in leveling up my characters or giving them items that actually resonate with them. I ended up doing a minor 'reset' where I don't delete the entire island but I removed all the islanders that I wasn't really playing with which left just my bf and I (¬_¬") ...

I play the sims 3 often so I thought it'd be interesting if I create my own characters and backstories so I could be more invested in taking care of them, and that turned out to be really fun! I do have some anime chaarcters here and there but majority of my islanders are OC's and I've been obsessed with playing now! My mii's are so cute to me I love watching them do their little activities and hanging out with eachother, I don't find it annoying when they have a request or if they want to play a game. If you are finding your island kind of boring, I highly recommend making your own characters! The game has a limited playstyle so you're gonna need some imagination but that's usually the case for life simulations. I love all my characters and I love watching them live thier little lives peacefully!
